This week, SRI installed a ground radar system at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to demonstrate its effectiveness in protecting both waterside and landside perimeters. The system is based on SRI’s Airfield Radar System, and uses advanced software and user defined rules to distinguish between normal operations and a possible threat. Ground radar is useful in seaports to protect land and water perimeters, critical dockside assets, and hazardous cargo storage areas.
